I'm not a newb by any means, just a big gui fan.

I even used GEOS on the Commodore 128 I had.

Commodore 128
Amiga 1000
Macintosh
Ibm (every since Win 2k). . .and I run an ubuntu server for my stuff. . .(all point n click there too).

I've just done everything with the mouse. . .

Ain't it cool?

I always used F5 to refresh directory views in Windows Explorer, but didn't realize it refreshed in IE as well until earlier this year.

everyone?

fyi:
windows:
alt-f4 closes
f2 renames a file
windows-d minimizes everything
windows-r opens a run box
ctrl-x = cut
ctrl -c = copy
ctrl-v = paste
alt-tab switches programs
alt-shift-tab goes backwards

in firefox, ctrl-t opens a new tab, ctrl-tab goes to the next tab,ctrl-shift-tab goes back a tab

lots more..those are the ones i use most often

F1 = help
F3 = search again

Windows has tons of keyboard shortcuts for F keys and for Windows key combos. I've seen mousepads with a huge list printed on them - now that would be useful.

actually, F5 only refreshes the page from your cache. Crtl+F5 is what actually re downloads the page.

Oh, and BTW, on a win XP machine with password protection (and I think fast user switching disabled), Windows key+ L= Lock Workstation.

My F5 key is almost worn down to a nub due largely in part to this blasted forum...

Then how come I can hit F5 on a post and then I can see new posts. And I push F5 again and see even more new posts. Seems to me if it was my cache I wouldn't see anything new.
