...and you'd still be underestimating him. he's easily the best of his era, and arguably in the class of "best of all time" drivers.
Nope. His red mist issues prevent that. He's thrown away many many wins and good point scores from losing his rag and stuffing his car into a wall/team mate/competitor.

I don't recall that about him at all. Honestly, out of the 5 drivers in the hunt currently he has been the most consistent all year and he has beat his teammate handily all season long.

I would also like for anyone but Alonso to win. Maybe you can make a case that he's a great driver, but he's a jackass and I want him to lose. I wish he hadn't tainted what used to be my favorite team.

Also, I wish the Speed would run the races streaming over the internet or as a paid download. Then I could finally cancel cable.

I don't think that is going to happen. The distribution rights are solely owned by FIA. The video streaming you see on TV is that of FIA and not of Speed, Speed just adds the commentary to that video stream.

That happened once and Alonso was catching Massa. It was kind of shitty but the team made the decision...not Alonso.

I guess you missed the radio from Alonso to the team bitching that he couldn't get passed... then there was the team orders which were against the regulations.

Then there is the handy incident with Renault... which of course Alonso knew nothing about... although Piquet claimed otherwise...

Then there is the incident with McLaren, where Alonso was found to be getting technical information from Ferrari, which was against the regulations.

Hamilton and Alonso were both given immunity in spygate...

"As regards Fernando Alonso, the World Motor Sport Council thanks him for cooperating with the FIA’s enquiries and for attending the meeting, and concludes that Mr. Alonso was not in any way involved in Renault F1’s breach of the regulations."

Of course he bitched about getting passed him...they all do that. With some teams it ends in both cars being taken out like Webber and Vettel did earlier in the season...tell me, was that an outcome that was in the best interest of the team?

As for the second point that is nothing more than hearsay.

Your third point? Completely ridiculous. You're actually accusing a McLaren driver, who had never driven for Ferrari, of having access to technical details from Ferrari and providing those details to his new team with no question of where he got that information? Now I've heard everything.

Considering how much he hated it at McLaren, I'm thinking he probably helped tattle.
