Hey folks,

I haven't started an F1 thread in a while, so I thought Id start one for the inaugural F1 race in Istanbul, Turkey!

It looks to be a hell of a race given what happened in qualifying. There's gonna be a lot of action in the mid-packers.

The track itself looks quite challenging...and I'm going to guess that a lot of cars will spin out on turn 8 or 9 near the end of the race as the tires wear out. I also predict a lot of overtaking.

So which McLaren do you think will fail and due to what part failing?? :p

Schumi ain't winning...especially after his spin out during Quali.

/waits for JulesMaximus & bR to join the thread

Turn 8 caught many drivers out, including M. Schumacher.

I'm looking forward to the race tomorrow. Hopefully, Kimi will win and Alonso will not score any points! That's my hope anyway.

Schumaker FTW!

FTW??

For
The
Win

Damn Ferraris need to pull up in constructor's points. Renaults are first...wth? French cars are useless everyone knows that!:p

McLaren should be leading the constructors championship and Kimi Raikkonen should be leading the World Driver's Championship. Damn Mercedes engines have kept the superior McLaren and Kimi from winning at least 5 races this season.

Id be surprised if a Ferrari finishes in the top 5.

I hope Kimi gives Flavio's lover boy an ass kicking tomorrow.

what are you talking about? he's pushed hte car pretty hard all through teh season unlike Tiago who'se only focused on finishing the race, not actually gaining position.

Look at today's race, Karthikeyan only drove a handful of laps all weekend due to mutliple engine changes and still managed to beat Tiago, who completed all four practice sessions!

If anything, Albers & Karthikeyan have shone this season.

Schumaker FTDNF!

Fixed.

Buahaha... good call. :D

I watched quali and I knew he was starting from the back of the grid. I honestly don't know what M. Schumacher was thinking when he closed the door on Webber like he did. There was no reason for it, Webber was a lap down on him so it wasn't for position and Webber was faster. Still, the Williams had major trouble with their right rear tires. In the end I don't think the off with Schumacher made much difference.

I'm glad Kimi won but I'm disappointed that Montoya lost second a couple laps from the end to Alonso. Kimi needs for some bad luck to come Alonso's way to have any hope of winning the Championship. If Alonso finishes on the podium for the next 5 races he'll be World Champion.
