F1 Fans: What happened to Ferrari & Marlboro?

Seems like they are no longer a sponsor?

I think in certain markets that they can't put cigarette logos on their cars. In some parts of the world (I think Europe is the only one right now) they have banned advertising for cigarette companies at sporting events.

It was a big deal a couple years ago IIRC, and people thought it might kill teams like Ferrari who at the time recieved a massive chunk of their budget from cigarette sponsorship (I think Marlboro was supposed to be pouring $100 million into the team each year).

It's against the law in the US to have a cigarette co. sponser a car. No cigs can be advertised on TV. That is why NASCAR no longer has the Winston Cup. It is now the Nextel Cup. The Camel car is no more.

It is ok to have Jack Daniels, Bud, and Miller as a sponsor.

No cigarette advertising in France? I know Ferrari can't run with Marlboro in the US because Penske carries Marlboro advertising on their cars in the US.
