So did anyone watch this race???

It was probably the best race of the season, very intense battles!

Renault showed everyone who's boss while Ferrari once again sucked...as did BAR. Button must be uber-pissed right now! Toyota showed they got what it takes..and McLaren showed once again how fast they can be. They just need to improve their qualifying.

Williams? I dunno what to say about them. but the battle between Pedro De La Rosa & Mark Webber was intense!!

6th I believe. He lost power or something in the end cause he was slowing down. Could be tire or brakes, not sure.

He's no Alan Jones, that's for sure.

Wow Honda is so pathetic this year ... and I had high hopes from them ... Ferrari looked promising to get Schuey a good grid position ... but they need to get their act together ... and Toyota .. wow that Gascoyne sure is proving to the factory that Toyota on its own and huge budget cannot make a good F1 machine ... that is some good hiring (and not firing) decision by toyota ... cant wait for San Marino ... Go Ferrari!

They're going to start calling Webber "pinball" just like Montoya. What a hack. I suspect Heidfeld will come out on top in that team by the end of the year.

Villenueve should go back to computer games.

Ferrari are now paying dearly for their "exclusive" relationship with Bridgestone over the past five years. After everbody jumped ship over the past two years to Michelins, Ferrari is the only fast team left testing the Bridgestones and they're so slow they had to introduce the new car before it was ready - in the hopes of picking up a second a lap. Didn't work.

Kind of reminds me of the Penske Indy 500 effort in 94. They found a loophole in the rules that said they could run a "stock block" at 209 cu in. - so they came up with this crazy 1000 hp motor and blew everybody off down the straights and won the race. All the while not developing the car to handle as they should have - hell they didn't have to. So, the following year USAC closed the loophole and made them run the same engines as everybody else. Turns out they couldn't even qualify their cars for the race - their handling and aero sucked so much (because they hadn't developed them during the previous year).

I love it when big teams pull sh1t like this and end up getting screwed. I mean, just play by the rules. Ferrari for the most part were screwing everybody else with their exclusive relationship with Bridgestone - it worked for them for a few years...

Villenvue was actually close to Massa this time around. But DC collided with him and damaged his rear suspension. I give JV till Spain, if it he doesn't improve till then...well I hope Karthikeyan takes his spot: )

Massa is still better..but teh gap is reducing. That said, it doesn't matter how good Massa is, the Sauber sucks ass this time around. All that money for their uber expensive CFD computer and wind tunnel, yet no tangible results.

As for Ferrari, I like how Schumi always has a positive spin on everything. Read the Scuderia Ferrari press release - he pretty much says altho we lost badly kudos to the team for working hard to bring the car here.

I think Barichello is gonna get teh better of Schumi this season.
