well that blows.... you should have talked to there manager...I think they usually have a manger there for the valet, at least my sisters valet company does.

i refuse to let a valet park my car.

but if you think a missing GPS is bad, my dad had the passenger side of his truck smashed in from the front fender to the rear when a valet hit a support column in the parking garage.

FWIW, I used to be a valet and the only thing I've seen/heard stolen from cars were pens, gum, and illicit drugs

I did raise hell. But I'm not an idiot and realized the effort was fruitless. As stated by others in this thread, the cops will do NOTHING.

unfortunately for every real theft, about 9 losers claim valets felt the need to steal $500, a $1000 camcorder, and $2000 in tools from their 1974 Pinto, but $20 will cover it...

It's a key that will only start the car. It won't allow the glove box to be opened, and maybe even in some cars it won't allow the trunk to be opened.
