F-U PAYPAL!!!!!!

i recently opened a seperate checking account, as i only had a savings account until i started my 9-5 a few months ago. with my paypal account i have a credit card on my account, as well as my savings account. since i am starting to save my money in my savings account and not touch it, i went to paypal to cancel out my savings account and add my checking account.

so i go to the close account and it has my cc account and my savings account. the way you cancel it is that it shows you the two accounts and displays the number like XXXXX-11 where it shows you the last 2 numbers of the account, and then has you type in the full account # below it. it also has a radio button next to each selection.

so i select my savings account, and fill out my information. i click on about 2 confirmation screens. the next screen it shows me is the login screen, with my email address in the one field, but the password field empty. so i enter my login password.

MY ACCOUNT IS COMPLETELY GONE! not just my savings account, but my ENTIRE paypal account! i then click on forget password and enter my email address. NO MATCHING EMAIL FOUND IN THE SYSTEM!

so now my paypal account is wiped forever. it took me a few years to get my status on paypal high. i had over 80 transactions and was verified and all that crap, and now i have nothing

Have you tried actually contacting Paypal regarding this?

not yet, this just happened like 5 minutes ago, but i probably will call them on lunch break. i just hope they can get it back . i heard the CS at paypal is not great by any means.

Let us know how your experience with them is.

I have had to call them two times in almost five years and they have been relatively helpful.

only relatively helpful??

my roommate had his account suspended for a long time, almost a year or so while they "investigated" an ebay fraud... they weren't very helpful to him...

but, maybe they've gotten better??

Paypal 's fraud division has been on a rampage lately, be careful. Remember to move all funds from them asap, do not maintain a balance.
