those damn mosquitoes
one just bit me on the shoulder
I seriously think we should make the whole species extinct... don't really care where they serve in the food chain or their benefits in the cooperative ecosystem
If it eliminates some bird species that predominantly fed on mosquitoes, then let it be

I've lived in Panama and now Florida - and I've never had a problem with mosquitoes. I think my body has developed some kind of immunity to their bites - because I don't usually feel them, and I never have any reaction.

Maybe it's like those people who are immune to snake bites - they've been bitten so many times that they've developed an immunity to it.

The breed where there is moisture/standing water.

Never had a bite out here in 5 years.😀

OOOOOOH! Mosquitoes! I found two ticks on me yesterday, so I have got you beat. It hit 70s and dry, so we get ticks coming out of hibernation in swarms.

I remember when I was a little airman in the AF, and I was at Barksdale AFB, LA for training - I had a big arse mosquito bite my arm, and I used my finger to "flip" him off....it hurt!!!! I hurt my finger! It was like flipping a rock!

here where i live, near Haifa, there are very few mosquitoes. i hate them just as much as anybody and agree that we should wipe out the species. they don't provide any important role. KILL THE MOSQUITOES!

Yet another reason to love SoCal. Very few mosquitos here.

I thought that to, but isnt the OP from SoCal?

Damn, you're right. He wouldn't last 10 minutes in upstate NY during the summer. Mosquitos are nothing here compared to back east.
