F@H Windows SMP Client Core Communication Error

For the last three days, I have yet to successfully complete a WU on the SMP client. It usually communication errors about halfway through. This is on a 1055T. At first I thought it was perhaps an overclock problem so just to confirm, I took the system back to stock for everything (2.8 GHz CPU, 1333 MHz RAM, 2000 MHz HT) and it still errors out halfway through. No heat issues after monitoring temperatures for half a day (holds steady at 50C Prime95). Back to running the ATI GPU and the Uniprocessor clients at the overclocks I had before and haven't experience one issue.

Any suggestions?

I know you said you tried everything back at stock, how about voltage? The reason I mention this is that I had everything prime95 stable at stock speeds with my cpu undervolted and I had the exact same problems (except mine would not make it to 50&#37😉. I bumped the voltage back up and tada, everything was good again.

Voltage is running at stock VID (1.400). Both overclock and stock (3.5 and 2.8 GHz respectively) runs stable at 1.4V. Stanford isn't kidding when they say the SMP can be glitchy because of the beta nature of the program.

I'm going to try running the SMP on my Q9550 tonight with the exact configuration tonight and see what happens.

Is it different WUs? If not it is more than likely a bad WU; otherwise it sounds like a stability issue.

I think it is a stability issue. My Q9550 has been crunching for almost a day now and hasn't error out yet. Same configuration. Think I will have to go back and do some stability testing on the 1055T.

So I Prime95 my 1055T rig for an entire day and it came back without any errors. I disabled the "turn off hard drive" power management feature too just in case. Decided to give the SMP client another shot and it has completed 2 WUs without any problems so far. Hopefully the issue I was having was just a bug or fluke or that hard drive power management issue.

Which is weird because I have the "turn off hard drive" enabled on my Q9550 rig and it folds just fine.
