Lifer
Just wondering what everyone else is running and their daily point output.

Mine are:
Athlon XP 2200+ @ stock
Athlon 64 3000+ (S754) @ 2.2 GHz
Mobile Athlon 64 3000+ @ stock (1.8 GHz, 1MB L2)
Pentium 4 3.2C @ 3.6 GHz (HyperThreading enabled, running two instances)
Athlon 64 X2 3800+ @ 2.6GHz (two instances)

All running (or will be (new additions) Seti@Home and Dimes

Producing roughly 50 wu a day

Power surge knocked out all but the 1700+
P-4 Prescott 3.2E 800 fsb
P-4 Prescott 3.0E 800fsb
P-4 Northwood 2.8B 533 fsb
I have the rest back up and running but I think I lost a cpu. Wont know for sure untill I have a spare to test it with.

I would run them 24/7 if I could afford it. Electricity would cost a fortune.

My current one and only F@H system is an Athlon X2 4400+. My parents have been instructed to keep the XP1700+ on 24/7 in my absence. Sadly, the other systems that I used to have crunching for me are no longer viable for F@H, so that is the extent of my herd. 🙁

I can only hope for quad core CPUs, though (imagine two of them!). 😛

mrwizer

The ones I listed are doing F@H.
I also have some doing Setiboinc.

I have tried to divide them equally by point production, but the point systems of the two different projects make that hard to do consistently so I just divide them by "feel". 🙂

I call it "pick one, choose the other". 😛

Wolfsraider
wow nice fleet Pokey
Thanks to Seti and it's addictive powers..............I got hooked when I first joined and put together parts, brought in some of my office computers, added, fiddled, and upgraded.........you know the drill............😀
I blame Smoke, Engineer and those guys too for posting pictures of their herds..........😛 😉

Folding@home?

25/09/2005 13:14:30|Folding@Home BOINC Beta|Scheduler request to http://fah-boinc.stanford.edu/folding_cgi/cgi succeeded
25/09/2005 13:14:30|Folding@Home BOINC Beta|Message from server: To participate in this project, you must use major version 4 of the BOINC core client. Your core client is major version 5.
25/09/2005 13:14:30|Folding@Home BOINC Beta|No work from project
25/09/2005 13:14:35|Folding@Home BOINC Beta|Deferring communication with project for 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 54 seconds

Anyway, for the moment is attached to BOINC alpha, CPDN, CPDN HadCM3-Spinup, Einstein@home, Folding@home, LHC@home, Orbit@home, Predictor@home, SETI@Home and SETI@Home_Enhanced.

Folding, LHC and Predictor haven't upgraded their server-software yet, so isn't supplying any work, and Orbit have only a linux-application so isn't delivering any usable work either.
Haven't joined some other projects like Sztaki and Rosetta, since they're also running outdated server-software meaning it's impossible to attach...

I'm almost embarrassed to join in.......... :😱

2 computers, each an AXP @ 2.15GHz

Ya know that stroy about the tortoise and the hare......... the tortoise lost 🙁

Still havin' fun though

Every bit helps. If I could run something on my TI-83 Plus I would 😛

I always think about the wasted cycles on my Pocket PC. Ever wonder how a 400 MHz XScale would crunch? 🙂

Just a solo pilot here but with a decent machine running a Venice 3200+ and 1Gig of ram.

I have all the parts for a socket A machine except for a processor(sacrified by 2500barton for parents computer). It is an ASUS A7n8x motherboard. Looking at making it a test bed computer so I can leave my primary computer in peace when testing customers components.

Looking for recomendations on a new processor and wondering how good the Sempron socket A's are? I know the Bartons are no longer being produced but likely be able to find one if I look hard enough. Will be running F@H on it when it's not pressed into service

I have been happy with my Semperon (2400+ I think). Seems pretty much the same as the Athlon XP's as far as I can tell.

Way too many to list. One farm of 19 dell 3.2's, several servers and about 20 other boxes, includine 3 at the house.

One toshiba laptop that get's hotter than hell....

All folding.

My farm is as follows:

Home
A64 X2 Toledo 4400+ @ 2.42 GHZ (roughly 4800+ speed)
AXP Barton 2800+, stock
Sempron Thoroughbred 2500+, stock

Work
P4 Northwood 2.4 GHz

Dad's House
A64 Clawhammer 3200+, stock

Work comp is only folding about 2/3 of the time. I occasionally shut off folding on my X2 during gaming sessions. All other rigs fold 24/7. PPD has been between 800-1,100 for the last month or so.

As you might be able to tell from my previous post I've got two socket A's on my farm - the Barton 2800+, and the Sempron Tbred 2500+.

I have to say honestly I'm not that impressed by the Sempron... it keeps up well enough on Tinker WUs but has a much tougher time with Gromacs WUs which are the dominant variety these days (for AMD owners, anyway).

Both boxes run at stock speeds, have 512MB RAM and have been folding 24/7 for the last month. The Barton is about 30% more productive in terms of ppd on Gromacs WUs which is way out of whack with what you might expect just looking at the PR numbers (2800+ vs. 2500+).

All I can think of is that it's got to have something to do with the extra L2 cache on the Barton. It's not the memory controller on the mobos (one is VIA KT600, the other is nForce2), I swapped CPUs between the boxes just to make sure and it had no impact.

For folding, if you can find a used Barton processor on FS/FT or eBay, or even one of the precious few new ones still being sold at Newegg, it could be well worth it.
