Welcome to TeAm AnandTech F@H

TeAm News

Production = 42,577 ppd (as of 2:00 p.m. 7/6/2005) - up 800 ppd from yesterday :thumbsup:

Active Users = 158 - down 5 from yesterday

No new users

We are definitely in the midst of a prolonged decline in active users... from nearly 200 down to 158 in less than two months. However, everyone on the TeAm that's been sticking around has been doing an outstanding job of picking up the slack as ppd remains steady. Thanks to all of you who are upgrading CPUs or adding crunchers... you know who you are!

Ranking: 25th place. No current overtake targets. One current threat:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Portugal@Folding" - 55th place - 75,958 ppd - overtake: August 2006

Thanks for the stats kb3edk

It's normal for the number of actives to decrease when summber break is on. Lot's of folders are college students with less access to broadband when they are home for vacation.

My 'pooters get no vacation... what little they have will be here for the summer.

I have been really busy with school and work so I haven't checked in for quite some time. How's everyone doing? I also shut down my two main machines, but I turned them back on now. Hopefully the weather will stay cool enough to leave them on.

Ok, I just took a look at the Team Overtake board...didn't realize we were that close to overtaking GM or the Knights. Everything I own is now back online. My avg is sitting at 219 right now, give it 4 days and i'll be back to 800. Let's see if we can finally overtake someone.

P.S. Where are the poopflingers?

I don't remember what the reason was, but the poopflingers had to shut down most of the way. Don't know if it's a permanent reduction or not. (I think they left it open)

So if you are going to pump in an additional 600/day, that only makes us a machine or two shy from GM. We might get that (and more) when school starts back up.

From my understanding they are folding with the office fleet all year round. When they "burn-in" pc's for there clients is when there numbers go to crazy figures. At least thats how i've interpreted it. ;)

Is it possible to move from team to team and keep your points? (19.7K and rising under Team 32).
Would the mods consider creating a subforum for Folding equal to the distributed computing sub, this might attract more attention.

Hi AlabamaCajun.

I don't think you can transfer points.
and
I doubt the mods would elevate one DC project over the others, and I for one am not sure I would want them to. I run seti and F@H and others run even more.

Just my 2 cents. Hope you like it here and decide to join the TeAm. It's a great group regardless which DC project you join. :D

I also run United Devices since early 2001. I did just realize there are more than just a couple of groups of DC, then my next question would it be possible to subgoup the DC projects under the DC folder? I think it would make the groups stand out more. Just an idea!

Hello AlabamaCajun and Welcome :)

I seem to remember some discussion about sub folders for different projects awhile ago. Nothing ever changed though.

F@H points will NOT transfer.

I kind of like it that way, I can help someone by giving them some WUs and I don't have to worry about them taking those points to a different team. With some projects, I have had that worry.

You would be very welcome on the F@H TeAm, we have an active (in the forum) group and this nice, TeAm News thread by kb3edk :)
