F@H - very odd (and low) points recently

I usually run 400-700 points per day. In the last 24 hours I've got the following"

PTS - Workunits
10 - 1
19 - 4
22 - 4
25 - 4
22 - 4
7 - 1
14 - 2

Yesterday I got a total of 98 pts and I'm not positive but I think one three hour unit reported 34 workunits. Two days ago I got 37 pts and 4 workunits.

Any idea what is happening? I haven't changed any of my boxes recently, all are old (or ancient) XP boxes running F@H as a service 24/7.

Looks like you're getting the new Amber units mentioned in the project news.

Those are some AMBERs in the 4500 series.

They are not the bonus WUs mentioned in Foxery's post. Those are coming soon and will be 4516 and greater.

Looks like there at least two ways to avoid these current WUs.

1. Take out the -advmethods flag.

2. Leave in the -advmethods flag but configure for BigWUs.

Some of my slower machines have been getting those. My work unit total for the last week has been insanely high.
