Nate,

He's doing OK as far as the surgery goes, no complications, the reflux seems to have improved greatly, but he's still not eating that great. Right now, we're fighting the insurance company. He has to have night-time feeds via a tube directly into his stomach, and the insurance company is refusing to pay for the equipment, supplies (bags, tubes, etc), or the food. We've told them that we understand the food, and are more than happy to pay for that ourselves (kid's gotta eat anyway, right?). Still no deal. He's even lost a pound since the surgery, WITH the night-time feeds, which has us even more concerned. We're talking $500 per month, so it's not a small number. Fun, fun...

The bottom line though is that Kevin is doing well, started 1st grade a couple weeks ago, and is incredibly patient and tolerant for a 6 year old (soon to be 7).

Congrats! to all the Milestone Makers! :D

Thanks! for the stats, GLeeM! :D

Hurricane,
Glad to hear he's doing ok, curses on the insurance company. How can they not pay for something that should be covered. I've had to deal with crap like that too. Hang tough, keep after them, apeal, write the Insurance General or whoever in your state oversees the insurance companies. Keep after them. Get the doctors to help.

Congrats to this very big crop of milestoners, especially mgpaulus at 500,000. It takes forever to reach milestones at that level-I know, I've been hanging just behind mgpaulus for months now.

Hopefully I have a huge day today-I have four computers crunching for me, and the last two days none of them turned in a work unit.
