Moving....errg. Hope it goes smoothly for you. Don't worry about us. We'll just play happily while you're gone. But you know boredom can lead to..... neffing. 😛

Thanks for the stats today Nate.

Welcome to Athlex Glad you joined up with us!

Welcome to the TeAm Athlex. 😀

Congratulations to the MM's. 😎

Thanks nate. I don't envy the move. I would much rather nef................😛 (but you didn't hear that from me)

Thanks for the stats nate!!

Have fun moving. The only thing I hate more than moving is painting which usually takes place before every move. Have a few 's......it will make it less painful.

Wow... Tinkers, Tinkers... everywhere!

I haven't seen these for a while (11xx series) I had forgotten what it was like to see 4 minute steps in a work unit. It costs me about 30PPD per machine, but the change of pace is kind of..... refreshing?

I'm running a Tinker🙂 p1105 on my lappy, it is running at 37 min/frame and ~13 ppd😀

I'm back for more help. I've got 12 PIII 500 w/128mb ram running Win98SE that are on for about 8 hours per day. Much of that time they are idle or used for web research and educational games.

After yesterday I don't think they will get their WUs done by deadline. I'm upgrading from the version v.4 to v.5.03 because I couldn't find the option to request deadlineless WUs in v.4. I know the current WU will continue after the upgrade, but it won't be done by deadline. How do I cancel a running WU and get a new deadlineless one?

Thanks.

P.S. My home computer finished my first WU yesterday for 69 whole points, lol!

Version 5.03 would not work on my WinME laptop so i don't think it will work on your win98 p3's.

I have a question about production. I have two copies of f@h running on my P4 3.0 Ghz desktop. It is on 24/7 and during the day is used mostly for web-browsing and word processing. Does 172ppd seem right?
How about 15 ppd on an older Gateway P3?
The numbers jut seem a little low.

You are correct sir. After a bit more research in the F@H forums it seems the built in screensaver of the graphical gui in v5.03 needs w2k or better. I'm downloading the "no-nonsense" console v5.02 right now, which is supposed to work fine in Win9x.

Thanks.

Four out of my five CPUs are running Tinkers right now. I want points! 😛

Thanks for the stats Nate

That seems accurate to me. PIII's take a beating.

My AMD XP 3200+ usually runs at ~230 ppd

I just got an old PII laptop that I'm playing with and it is showing ~13 ppd

So you have two instances of F@H running on the P4 and they are both getting 172 ppd?

My machines need to start kicking out some points. I've slipped to number 20 ppd after the 3pm update. I was at 14 this morning. Stupid tinker cores...

No total they get 150-170ppd. I just wanted to make sure those numbers seemed okay. I don't know why I thought they were low. Thanks for the assurance that my comp is indeed runnung fine.

Welcome to the TeAm, Athlex 🙂 If you have any questions or need any help, just ask.

Congratulations to the Milestone Makers!

@Paladin3
Oops, sorry! V4 console can do deadlineless WU. You config to do GaH.
It would probably be best to run the 5.02 CLI as a service. To get to the place in config where you answer yes to deadlineless WUs, you have to answer yes to Advanced Options. Also, leave the default "no" for WUs over 5MB for those machines, although I think deadlineless option would override BigWUs.

@Vikesrock
Your ppd seem normal for regular WUs.
Do you know about BigWUs?
If you answer yes to WUs over 5MB, you might get some of these. They are worth double points. Sometimes it helps to get them if you add the -advmethods flag to your startup shortcut. I recommend to add the -forceasm flag also. If you have 1 GB ram you could run two of them and not have them affect your light use. If you only have 512MB run one BigWU and the other regular.
Be warned that if you get any of the new QMD core BigWUs, you might only be able to run one instance. But they give better ppd! So much better that I don't dare say how much 😀

Thanks nate!! We've come to rely on your for the stats breakdown!

Just convinced a friend to run F@H under my name:evil:. Not sure what kind of system he has, but every little but helps.
