CustomPC is less than 2 weeks away from leaving us in a cloud of their protien powder as they blow by us. If we could gain ~20 new users we could start to slowly gain ground on a few teams😀

New users will not appear until they have completed a Work Unit under team 198

Milestones are as follows: 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, from 10,000 to 100,000 will be every 10k, and every 20K after 100,000. After 200,000 milestones will be given at 50k intervals.

Count me in. I just installed F@H on my home computer and will also install it on some of the student computers at the school where I work. The kids should get a kick out of helping with the project.

Okay...I've got F@H set up and running on 14 machines, but the 13 Pentiums are normally on for only 8 hours per day.

1 Athlon XP 1800+
1 Pentium 4 1.7
12 P3 500

A 3rd grade class studying molecules was very impressed when I explained to them what we are doing.

I don't think that should be a problem unless they are doing some heavy processor intensive work during those 8 hours. But if they're used for gaming or something during those 8 hours, you wouldn't be getting a good 8 hours out of them unless you change the core priority.

I think you should check to see how far those P3 500Mhz computers get in a day and calculate whether they can finish a regular WU before the deadline.

If they cannot finish in time, there are WUs without deadlines. You can select them by answering yes to the question in the advanced setting part of configuration mode.
 
It's too bad to see so many of you leaving your primary chosen DC project, i'm sure alot of you guys cared for that program or else you wouldn't have been doing it. Thank you for choosing to continue your DC efforts with the F@H program. This project means alot to me and your help is greatly appreciated.

The computers are used mostly for web research and educational games that don't tax the processor very much. I'll check in a day or two to see how much they are getting done and go to non-deadline WU if necessary.
