Well, I've managed to assimilate a 766MHz Celeron for a bit. Not sure how much it will actually help, but apparently it does allow Gromacs to run with SSE. Whether that helps performance or not is yet to be determined. 🙂

Probably better advise than I gave.... I suggested a HD. I have this thing about refurbs.... I have the worst luck. 'Murphy' lurks, with a name tag that reads "refurb"... just waiting for me to wander by 😕

I don't have much to help just my main P4 2.53@3.2. The celeron 466s and P3 800Mhz would help much of WUs. Oh from my test, P4 fold faster than celeron at the same speed. Celeron 2.0@2.8 fold 12mins per frame but take only 8 mins for P4 2.53@3.0.

Don't feel insignificant if you don't have a lot of power (BTW you have more power than I do, probably) or can't make tons of assimilations. Every little bit helps. 🙂
