Folding@Home Daily Statistics and Milestones for Tuesday, June 17th, 2003

Team Rank Weekly Statistics...

Our score increased by 6,751.22 units since the last stats period, to a total of 703,254.16 this evening. The previous record score was 9,022.47 points, set on 15-Jun-2003.

Edit: forgot to comment originally, but this is the first day in a long time that our weekly average was enough to keep us at 22nd position both in total output and weekly averaged output (that means, of course, that if we keep it up, we won't be dropping down 6 or more places, like I thought we were going to for a while). Also, we reached a Team Milestone of 700,000 points today. Great work! 😀

I'll have more when the net connection activates at my workplace tomorrow. My P4 laptop's already halfway past the 2nd WU but this Duron server's not even halfway past the 1st WU. :|

Some WUs take longer than others. You may know already that the longer the WUs take (relative to other WUs), the more points you get. Needless to say, a P4 will get the same amount of points as a Duron for the same WU, but the P4 will get more points in the end because it can do multiple WUs in the time it takes the Duron to do one. 🙂

Now I have two boxes that lock up at shutting down core. If I completely del. the folder and reinstal I can get one good WU then the next one it finishes it locks up. One of them is my new 2.4c that was working fine before and the other is a AMD XP2200 that has been folding for two months with no problems. I think on the AMD one it may have something to do with the ambient room temp since it has gone up about 10F in the last couple of weeks.

Hmm, that's a very difficult situation. All I can suggest is to make sure you're not overclocking, remove -advmethods if you're using that, and don't -forceasm. 😕
