congrats mm's
good effort by the team today, nice work everyone!

Thanks for the stats J. Do you know what our daily output record is? because i feel we are getting close to breaking it.

thanks.

Also, a quick team poll. I am going to have to reinstall the OS on my server soon. I was using RedHat 7.2 before. Does anyone in here have any POSIX-compatible suggestions?

The ones I have ruled out alreay are Gentoo and RedHat. RedHat because I am not happy with their support procedures. Gentoo because their updates are very time-intensive as well as supporting the OS. The current inclination is Debian and that is also the feeling I got from looking around the OS forum at people who posted similar questions.

I have a 30GB HDD coming in from Staples in a few days which I got for $20 so soon the slow cruncher will be back up for me.

Windows. (j/k) 😉

Debian is good. I'd stay away from NetBSD and OpenBSD, because those are incompatible with Folding@Home; FreeBSD can be made to work with Linux binary compatibility, but it's a PITA. Therefore, it's best to stick with some sort of Linux OS if you want something that is truly POSIX-compatible. 🙂

Damn, how did I miss that hot deal? 😱

I have this feeling you're right. 🙂

Actually, I hadn't been using a standard method of any sort to keep track of record outputs. However, that is something that I'm going to start doing, and if I have time this afternoon (I should have time if the parents decide to leave me alone for a bit 😉), I will go through the records (I have archives of daily stats back to shortly after I first started posting them) and figure out what the current record is.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Congrats milestone makers!

:Q Poopflingers - 1000, man that was fast!!! WTG

Thanks jliechty
