F@H Smp Config? [Solved]

I have a 955 BE that I regularly fold with set on -smp 3. I was wondering is there a faster way to change that setting to -smp 4 or 2 depending on what I feel necessary? In other words is there away to edit the config file without re-entering every line? Thank you for your time.

Yes.

The config.cfg file will have all your preferences in there. In the extra_parms line it should have your -smp 3 flag in there. After you finish changing it, just save the file, then close and restart the client. You don't need to have the client stopped to edit config.cfg, it only uses it at startup.

Can you change just the single line in the config.cfg? Or is there a program to open the config.cfg to edit just the line i'd like?

Use wordpad, or notepad++/jEdit/eMacs or whatever. DO NOT use Notepad; it screws up the formatting real bad, the last time I used notepad I had to redo the config because it screwed it up so badly. I have my folder preferences set up to open .cfg files with notepad++ by default; otherwise, just Right-click --> Open With --> Choose Program and select Wordpad.
