After doing a bit of reading, it seems that since -advmethods is the beta core switch, and Gromacs is out of beta, you shouldn't have to use it any more. Beware that not all WUs are Gromacs (in fact, it seems that many are still Tinker), so you will probably get a more even mix of both if you remove -advmethods.
