F@H Queues?

I know the SETI project has server queues that download WUs for multiple clients but is there something like that for F@H? I am right now running 12 machines at work on F@H. I am using F@H LogStats to monitor them. However our parent company forces us to use a passive proxy to get out to the internet. We basically can't hit anything on port 80 until we put in a username and password and then our connection on that particular machine is good for 8 hours. It's a crumby way of doing it but we have no choice since they provide us with our internet access. I have been trying to get the "static" proxy information from them to put in for each client but haven't heard back from them yet.

So my idea is to setup a machine in our network that acts as a queue and download say 30 WUs. Then my folders would go to that machine for their WUs. This way I would only have one machine that I need to authenticate on and my folders would just go there.

Will this work or am I just crazy? If I could get this working I can probably add another 5-10 machines to the mix. it's just right now it's too much time to go to each machine and authenticate because it needs to get a new WU.

I used to do the F@H project for a while, but the unavailability of central server queues for data (like SETI and RC5 have) is what killed it for me. :frown:

Who knows, if they do go BOINC (which I kind of doubt, but what do I know?), we might get to use queues, although they would certainly still have some kind of time limit if they did allow them. We can only hope... :)
