Hi There Everybody

Just a quick question on what is considered to be an active user. Does Team Anandtech consider him/her active like folding at home where does a work unit in the last 7 or 50 days?

Thanks in advance:beer::):beer:

If you're submitting completed work units, then you're active. I never really heard of any 'deadline' for the term. It never really comes up. (there is nothing to gain or loose based on that label.)

Maybe if there is something beyond the question itself you are curious about we can help.

I just noticed when I go to the folding statistics they make reference to the number of active cpu's for last 7 days and for 50 days. The Stanford site also states that our team has 913 active cpu's within the last 50 days and natethegreat says we have 181 active users.

If stanfords and nate's definition of active user is the same then our team, on average, has 5 computers per productive user. that is pretty impressive

I am using the EOC's active user number wich counts an active user as someone who has turned in results within the last 7 days. I am not exactly sure why stanford has chosen 50 days for their stats but I am sure some of the more "elite" :D folders would know the answer to that.

I think Stanford just wanted some data on how many CPUs and Users they have.

Not sure why they picked 7 and 50 days.

Active CPUs would also count if something happened to my install and I deleted it and reinstalled it. That would make one more CPU for me.

When they update the client there can be a spike.

The stats sites count of active users is probably different and would be whatever they chose to keep track of.

The number of active users is always less than the number of users that sent in results in the last 24 hours (like what I somethimes post)
