F@H Question

Bought an Imac as a project and I just got done operating on it today. It is currently running OS 9.1 and I'm wondering if there is a legacy version of the client I might be able to put on this machine?

Unfortunatley, there is no F@H client for MAC OS 9.x and never will be. The fact that the Gromacs core wouldnt work just killed support for 9.x........ As an alternative, the Distributed Folding project apparently runs well on OS 9.x.

Well I guess it's to OS X I go then....
From what I've heard, OS X is much better than previous OSes, given that it has real protected memory (Something that the Wintel platform got back with WinNT many years ago), among other things. It is supposed to be very stable (unlike the previous MacOSes), and fast (if you have enough RAM). I think you'll like it. 🙂
