I'll be adding an Athlon 64 3000+ @ 2.2 GHz whenever my Dad feels like backing up his stuff and letting me switch him over from his XP 2200+. Congrats to the MMs and welcome to the new teammates!

UH OH!!! They've been known to have firewall problems in the past, so it could be that they just sent the last few months WU's all at once. But i'm guessing since they're back up to 57 active processors in the last 7 days they could possibly be making a return!! Oh how we've missed you guys!!

The Athlon 64 is up and running, replacing the XP 2200+. Running at 2.2GHz on an ECS board with NO voltage adjustments while running almost silently comapred to the XP system. I'm more than happy :)

Let me know what kind of times you get from that. as I have an Athlon 64 3200+ running 2.3ghz, but with some el cheepo ram in it.

Before I had my Althon X2 my "flagship" box was running a 3200+ Winchester OCed to 2.2 GHz, with performance-grade OCZ PC3500 RAM inside.

It would usually spit out Tinker frames in about 4:30, so over 400 frames that's 30 hours flat. For a 241-point WU that worked out to 192.8 ppd.

On 600-point Gromacs, one frame about every 27 minutes, so over 100 frames that's 45 hours flat, for a very respectable 320ppd.

EDIT: Wow, I guess with my 200th post I got promoted to "Senior Member"! That's nifty

I would personally like to thank the Poopflingers for making a return. I know it may not last that long, but I appreciate anything you guys can give the team.

Thanks,
Jeff

i get some crappy work units every other day it seems. those 125 frame ones just eat up a day for like 57 points.
