Still running 100% on both processors.
First 3 WU's of machine worked fine. Suddenly........can' complete a unit on time.

Here is a snip from my log:

[18:23:37] Completed 104380 out of 125000 steps (84%)
[18:39:10] Timer requesting checkpoint
[18:54:35] Timer requesting checkpoint
[19:10:01] Timer requesting checkpoint
[19:25:25] Timer requesting checkpoint
[19:32:25] Completed 105630 out of 125000 steps (85%)
[19:32:25] Unit 7's deadline (March 29 18:38) has passed.
[19:32:25] Going to interrupt core and move on to next unit...
[19:32:26] CoreStatus = 0 (0)

It used to take 25 minutes to complete a step. Now.....

What system are you running? Do you know the WU number? Some of the newer ones have a very short processing time allotment...

I'm finding that my X2 systems are are barely making the deadline- in fact one of them is chewing a 3062 WU that probably won't make it, but I'm gonna let it go and see what happens.

I am running a X2 4000+ at 2.31ghz.
I think the unit is a 3062. It has timed out the last 4 WU's. Just can't get it done in time.

Of course I am at work now so I can't check which unit it is, but the 3062 looks familiar. And to make matters worse, I have to go out of town until Friday night, so I won't be able to check on it to see what is going on. Hopefully the weather in Atlanta co-operates tomorrow afternoon so I can catch my 4pm flight home.

How do you delete a WU to get a new one in linux? As you can tell I really have no idea what I am doing in linux. No clue what so ever!

According to fahinfo.org an X2 Brisbane gets 197.6 ppd per GHz per core for WU 3062.

Yeah, if your processor is marginal some of the SMP WU's are quite slow compared to the 2653's. The 30xx Wu's are definitely slower.

Go in to your Fah folder and delete everything except the fah6 executable, mpiexec and the client.cfg file. Delete the work folder too. Then restart the client with the -configonly switch to make sure all your settings are ok.

Then restart with ./fah6 -smp

Hopefully you will download a 2653 WU!

Unfortunately others and myself are seeing the slower WU's more frequently these days (less ppd too).
