Just wanted to let you know that I have joined the Folding@Home TeAm. I'm also heavily involved in the SETI@Home project.

Both projects are currently running on my AMD 1700XP with 512MB DDR.

Hehe, I don't consider it BS. As a life science student I'm very hopeful that intelligent life could form on another world. I'm also a big sci-fi fan, which doesn't hurt

As for joining Folding@Home, my main reason is that I'll be pursuing a degree at the University of Toronto in Genetics & Biotechnology. I'm really interested in the potential that recent breakthroughs in genetics hope to yield.

I don't think there are aliens (and don't run S@H at this time, but I did in the past and would again if I had more computers), but it is very not nice to insult other projects (plus, consider that SETI has more uses than just finding aliens).

Over all, that is what I like about Team AnandTech the most: that even though we come from many different countries, have different religious (or non) and political beliefs, and run different projects, we can still be considerate of the others and get along.
