F@H: How to monitor clients?

Hey,

When setting up f@h it says " give computer an id# from 1-8"

Well i'm up to 5 now. Can i input a # above 8?

Also, my main question is, any monitoring programs so i can monitor the production per each client running?
^ especially over a period of say a week or longer?

thanks 🙂

lol thanks jliechty. so i dont have to worry about giving them Id's then 😛

thanks for the links, i will check them out!

To clarify: machine IDs are used when you need to run more than one client on one system. This might be the case if you have a P4 HT or a multi-CPU setup (the # was recently increased to 8 to help out those who have 4 HT Xeons 😛). To set up the client then, you would put as many folders with a copy of the F@H CLI in each as you have CPUs (real or virtual). Each one must be run from its folder with the -local switch, and when configuring them, each must have a separate ID.

Hope this helps... 🙂

And here's to quad Opterons in '04!

😀

I use FAHLogstats and it's great. Easy to setup and gives very good stats. I use it at work to monitor 12 of my folders.
