if i were to use my laptop to run FAH how many ppd would i get?

specs are P-M 1.2ghz single core, 512mb ram. Winxp-32

i get around 3500 with my Q6600 @ 3.2ghz.

You should only run the classic (single processor) client, as this machine is very outdated. 100 PPD is about right, or maybe even a high estimate. Check fahinfo.org to see if anyone else has tested a similar machine.

ya, and the cost of electricity going up with fuel and all. An aging laptop can be helpful but it may also bring about it's untimely end. Ask me how I know. In my office I have a MacBook pro folding and a new dell....both duo core 2s'.

Better than being idle, eh?

Keep folding,

A laptop should not cost much to run, electricity wise.

I use a Pentium M laptop at work, 1.6ghz I think.

It does the regular client, 26xx series WUs worth 292 points, from server 171.64.65.65 in about 10 minutes per percent and finishes it in about 16 hours. That's ~400 ppd.

It doesn't do as well on other WUs.

To have a chance at those bonus WUs, answer Yes to BigWUs and DON'T use -advmethods (currently). They are being assigned pretty regularly with those settings for now, I exect it to change soon.
