F@H holiday race: December or January?

Participation by Team Anandtech in the PrimeGrid challenge series is very popular in the last couple of years or so. This December (7th-17th), the Great Internet Fermat Prime Search Challenge which is a GPU based competition, directly competes with our December annual F@H Holiday race. PrimeGrid also runs a challenge January but it is usually a CPU based race and since most of us run F@H on GPUs,, it'll be less of a conflict.
 
This year, PrimeGrid had a GPU-based challenge in January as well as the December preceding, but the January one was only 3 days, while the December one was 10 days long as is this year's, so my vote goes to January.
 
IMHO, it's better to move F@H to Jan and go light on a GPU PG Challenge in Jan (If its a GPU challenge). If we don't score high on PG in Jan, we have the rest of the year to make up for it. While the December PG Challenge is the last one. While I think we might be okay since we're so far in 1st right now, I'd rather leave December open for Primegrid should we need to do well to secure our first place rank. Just my $.02 though.
 
@biodoc, Jan will be a great time so that the team can continue the momentum for bigadv team challenge which will be another 7 days of folding.
 
Let's fix the date first. Assuming TAAT F@H holiday race commences in Jan based on current voting trend, I propose the 4th BigAdv EOL challenge to start on Jan 31 to Feb 6, 2023. Well Jan 31st is when the BigAdv ended (in case most are not aware). It is just going to be a team-to-team challenge, so the team stat can be easily tracked and you guys just need to continue the folding momentum for another 7 days 😉

I don't see any conflict with the PG challenge and the B-Games challenge (superbowl 57th in 2023 starts on Feb 12).

FHCHC
race also? Around the Hallows? This would be around the end of what is commonly named October. 🙂

The final PrimeGrid challenge this year is 7-17 December and it's a GPU race. Many racers will switch from FAH to PG for the challenge consequently this makes it difficult to balance/rebalance the FAH teams. I'm hoping this won't be a significant issue in January.
