I spent some time bringing a few machines into the fold today. (haha! Nice pun)

In addition to the AthlonXP 1700+ (OC to 2K) and the P3 800 machines I have folding at home, I added 19 1.8ghz P4's today, plus another Athlon 850.

I'm kinda cranky because the easiest way to do the service install still requires that I go to each machine individually, but at least I have this many behind me. Won't be too big of a deal in the future beacause when I have to re-image all these machines, I'll suck the images down from the RIS server so I should be able to include the F@H as part of the RIS image.

In any event, as of noon central time about 35ghz of processing power came online to join the cause. More to come in future days.

Wow, sounds great. :D

Note that each F@H installation has to have a unique machine ID, that it obtains from the server the first time it connects. I am not sure how this would be done, but that machine ID can't be included in the "standard" install from your RIS server, or else all of the machines would end up duplicating the same work. Maybe someone with more experience in this area can jump in and help you with the gory technical details of how to ensure that an imaged install works ok. :)

good point

I was hoping I could just delete the work queue and log file before constructing the image
