F@H graphical client messes up system tray tooltips

What you describe is a known bug. I thought it was Windows. Do you have all the latest updates?

But it might be like ProviaFan says and be drivers.

It's indeed a known bug. Either switch to the CLI version or go over to the official F@H site and do a search for it. I don't think they have a solution for it but I might be wrong. IIRC it has something to do with the OpenGL drivers.

Hmm.. F@H has put me into a kind of dilemma. I do like the graphical client if only because it comes with tray icon and easy status monitoring. I've tried the "no nonsense" console version but could not find a 3rd party monitoring app that I liked (so far nothing I've seen compares to the simplicity of e.g. SETI Driver). If the bug is due to openGL I guess it's something I have to live with. Driver/windows updates may work, but I've taken on the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" philosophy. 😀

Anyhow I guess it's not a bad idea to live with it and wait for the bugfix if/when it comes.

Good point ming2020. I also would rather have a messed up tray than a completely black screen 'cause the driver update failed!
