F@H and Proxies

I am having trouble getting the F@H Command Line to play well with my proxy.

It seems to connect fine to the folding website, and gets the core. But it cannot get any WU's. I was thinking that it might be a problem with the assignment server connection, since it connects on port 8080. And perhaps my proxy only allows on port 80... Although I have never had a problem with any of the BOINC stuff, or Seti Classic.

I am going to play with it some more, but thought I would ask the Guru's if they already know of a fix. Thanks.

Well, yes and no.

I have two proxies running, one without a username/password, and one with (IE settings is with username/password). Neither work. But it seems like the client is able to get out to the net, it d/l's the core, just not the WU.

Thanks for the bumps. 🙂 I have not had a chance to look into the problem yet, or the FAHlogs. After thanksgiving I will look into it some more, perhaps try a different proxy, etc. If I find anything that works, I will post it here, so if anyone else runs into the same problem they will know the answer. 😉

Oh, and I never mentioned what proxy it was (Proxy Plus).

I tired a new proxy, and it solved the problem. The old proxy was not allowing the connection properly (I probably would have had to map a link to the F@H server...). Now I have an additional 5 machines folding. 🙂
