F&$%ED UP AMERICA ONLINE

If anyone has more brains then the people answering phones at AOL, I would appreciate any help available. I tried to load the aol 6.0. After loading it I could not connect to the internet with AOL, or with a free web brouse I have. I switched back to 5.0, everything seemed O.K. had a problem, ended up with aol 4.0. NOW I can connect to the internet (BUT not with my other, only AOL) if I try to go anywhere, such as yahoo, or here or msn, I get a message that the server is busy. NO MATTER WHERE I GO. I try my other computer with the same #'s to logon and no problem.

ANY HELP?
thanks

Are you on dialup or cable/dsl. If on cable/dsl, you have to connect thru tcp/ip, let it detect your settings.

Uninstall any versions of AOL you have on your computer, then manually through explorer delete any AOL directories left over after the uninstall.

Reinstall 6.0 and try it out.
