The greedy bitches at Monolith/Publisher now announce that you can play our BETA MUTLIplayer demo of our upcoming single player game for free. Oh hold me while I give a crap. I downloaded this off of BT for $0 a LONG time ago which is exactly what this "demo" is worth. Check it out it's finally priced just right.

By "open to the public" they mean you fill out a registration form and enter the CD key Fileplanet sends you to unlock the game. No fee's involved.

Well, since it's a single player focused game, a BETA MULTIplayer demo should be regarded with skepticism. Like you the multiplayer did nothing for me. Then again, outside of the original UT, no multi game has even got me to raise an eyebrow. BF2 on the other hand I look forward to checking out.

Yeah no one should expect this to have good multiplayer. None of the latest games have good online play including HL2(aside from CS:S). If a game isn't multiplayer driven from the ground up you might as well forget it. I liked all the UT series myself of course I don't play UT2004 anymore because I am into CS:S ATM and maybe BF2 in a couple months when I decide to buy it.

Swat 4 is pretty sweet to ! almost like CS:S but you can areest people and use peper spray and teasers.
