I grew up on USAF bases in the late 50's and early 60's when sonic booms were very common...and essentially unregulated. Windows rattled, babies screamed and cried, dogs went crazy...and us kids whooped and hollered because it was FUCKING COOL!

Living in ND back in the 80's I have heard a few too. Still not sure what type of plane they were. I lived way up north. About 50 miles north of Minot.
