EZCD Creator 4.0, converting MP3 to CD audio

When I try to make an audio CD from my MP3s, I either get a message 'not high enough bitrate' (or something like that), even though my MP3s are at least 128 or 192Mb, or 'not a valid CD audio file, will not be added'.

Any ideas? I'm stumped.
