EZCD 5 flashing menu problem

I've noticed with roxio's ezcd 5 that the menus flash. For example, if I want to use a pull down menu, the menu drops down but then disappears too quickly. Also, if I want to rename something as soon as i start to type the new name it stops, so if I wanted to use the name ROXIO for example, it will take my "R" and then just use that as the name, it won't give me the chance to type the rest of the name in. I've seen some other posts on the roxio forums about this but no one seems to have any answers.
