EZ-plug

Sorry if this question has already been asked, but I have ONE eVGA 6800 Ultra video card. I have the EZ selector set for one vid card, and the SLI mode in BIOS set at "Auto". Should I plug power into the EZ-plug or not? I have the 6-pin connector on the back of the card plugged in, but the instructions in the manual are a bit ambiguous in my opinion. EZ-plug yes or no?

Thanks,

Rich 😎

I've been asking myself that question too
Do i need to connect the EZ-plug when operating in single graphic card mode??

quoting the manual, you need it only if running sli. I have a single 6600gt, but i've plugged it in anyways.. stuff works.. my theory being no harm in supplying extra juice to the mobo.

I agree as well, runing one 6600 GT but I thought it maby would add some stability, and I have had no problems as a result of pluging it in!
