EyeQ Test

I've had really erratic sleep patterns lately (went to bed at 0400 this morning and woke up at 0600, panicking and thinking that it was 6PM). Anyway, that means watching a lot of late-night TV, which are mostly informercials. Saw one for "EyeQ" which is supposed to increase your reading speed.

Their website has a "sample" 7 minute session that's supposed to give you a small example of how much you can improve. I went from starting at 596 words per minute to 681 WPM. Could be placebo effect, though. I think it's partly placebo, partly due to the eye exercises they give you.

Give it a shot and post what kind of increases you get.

580 to 610.

I'm already a pretty fast reader thanks to my junior year English teacher who assigned a book every other day.

Wow... that's pretty crazy. I dunno which will help me retain the information tho. Before the test, I would say the words mentally and after the test I just looked. Weird.

I think the exercises just woke me up. That or I need to be on their next infomercial as a "compensated user". EyeQ Worked For ME!!!

The text is friggin huge', it gave me a headache. I could have read all that way faster if the text was
a) in a serif font
b) somewhere around 10-12 pt instead of 54 pt

264 -> 350

But I felt my eyes were going faster than they should have, so I didn't comprehend the post-test paragraph.

Oh well. It's all shenanagans.

466 to 594. *shrug*

the real question is how much of the information you read, do you actually retain?
