Or if not this car, then something comparable to it? Everything looks very very good on paper, but I wanna know what other cars I should be looking at to compare to this one.
 
looks great on paper, looks great in person, but ive read many negatives about its actual performance... feels to heavy and blunt to be sporty, turbo lag, not communicative, etc... numbers and tangibles aside seems like another paper tiger that doesnt translate into good "driving" cars

Subaru Legacy GT is comparable for semi luxury 4dr 4wd turbo cars
 
you should find out if mazda ever fixed that massive powerloss issue from heatsoak.

last i was aware, mazda actually specifies that the car requires 93 octane fuel which isn't even available in CA. Which is probably a contributing factor to the power loss problem.
 
If you are considering a Mazdaspeed6 because you're in the market for a quick 4dr sedan for under 30k, consider getting a Sub. WRX instead. STI version if you want to take no prisoners.
