Debating on getting a 3rd 23", 1 large 30"/27", or a 32 / 47" cheap Plasma / LCD thats out.

I wanted Surround Vision/Eyefinity with my GTX 690 with my two Samsung 2333T 23" monitor's. I am not sure if it makes sense on this monitor as it's only 23".

From what other people are telling me, it may make more sense to get one large 27" or 30" and just play games on this with the two on the side, or even get one of the cheap 32 / 50" TV's and make that my computer monitor.

Do you have any opinions on this?

One single screen (2560*1440 or 1600). And avoid using TVs as monitors.

Also the lust for 3 screen might fade fast for you and make the extra screens close to useless.

get the big screen for the middle.

Use the 2 screens on the side and see how you like all 3 together.

If you don't like it, sell maybe 1 of the small screens and keep the other for putting on a movie or Hulu while you game on the big screen.

Or, see if there is a way to edit the EDID info and somehow get all 3 working in surround? I believe you can do surround on Eyefinity without any shenanigans (you just drive the big screen at whatever the low res is of the side monitors). I'm very interested if you could get that to work.

I have used 3x 24" ever since I bought a 5970. Back then it worked in only a few games and honestly the card didn't really have the performance to do it. Today on a pair of 680's most games work with it, although only a few actually perform well enough to use it. Some do have minor graphical problems but generally they either work well enough or its so broken you just don't bother.

At the moment I am playing Planetside 2, Mechwarrior online, Dishonoured and Arma 2. PS2 doesn't perform well enough, MWO HUD is messed up and unplayable, dishonoured works and Arma 2 works brilliantly.

When it works its a really good experience, but I am personally thinking now I want to go for a bigger screen with low PPI as the second screens only really get used when I work, and then I find a second one is useful but the third isn't.

I had 3x 24" screens for eyefinity. I didn't find it that amazing. I sold 2 of the monitors and now I have a 27" catleap and that is more than enough monitor. So much so that it is the only monitor hooked up to my computer.

Is the 27" catleap the muli input one or is it similar to the OC 120hz OverLord Monitors?
