Eyefinity Mixed Resolution w/ same sized monitors

Question for those running Eyefinity at mixed resolution. More specifically, different resolutions with the same sized monitors. I've seen examples, but all of them are mixed sized monitors.

Looking to add 1080p monitors to my 1440p (on its way). I still plan to mostly game on the 1440p, but for flight sims and racing, 5760x1080 is awesome.

The middle monitor will be a 27' 1440p 144hz. I can get two 27 1080p monitors fairly cheap on CL. Anyone running a similar setup? I've seen where smaller monitors can be adjusted to match the middle, or vice versa, but not sure how the middle will scale to match the same sized screen.

I wish I had one to try before I buy. I just cant seem to find examples of this setup. Most examples are just mismatched monitors of different sizes, where Eyefinity will just chop the top off the higher resolution and run 5760x1080, etc. With monitors being the same size, no chopping will be possible. Perhaps 24" 1080ps on the side will scale better?

Thanks for any help, comments, advice!

I've not done this, but you can use downsampling on the 2 side monitors through 3rd party software. Basically, your system will treat your 1080p monitors like 1440p monitors and scaling will be performed to make it fit and produce a form of AA. Then Eyefinity the monitors. The downside is you'll find text is a bit blurry while in Windows.

Note: this will require a tremendous amount of GPU horse power. More than 4k does. You may be best to just let the 1440p monitor down scale to 1080p when gaming. Mix resolutions may work at the desktop, but for gaming, the games have to support them, which I don't think any do.

The most straightforward solution would be to run all 3 monitors at 1920x1080 eyefinity x3. The 1440p monitor should look very similar to the 1080p monitors because they are all the same 16:9 aspect ratio and same size, so you'll get a consistent view across all 3, even though the 1440p might be like a "softened" version of the side displays.

currently running 23" 1080 eyefinity with quad 290x. at times - do find that the 23" is on the smaller size. especially when gaming on single center monitor (i.e. starcraft2).

deciding forever to go either: 27" 1440 eyefinity or 30" 1600 eyefinity.
quad 290x (not quite enough power) has been holding this monitor upgrade back.
however quad 390x or quad titan x will make definitely make this monitor upgrade to happen.

27" 1440 center with dual 27" 1080 side would be a nice compromise.
27" for single center monitor gaming.
and
when eye-finity gaming. the two side monitor are more for peripheral anyway.

*** extended question to those of you that are running 27" mixed resolutions.

desktop usage?
1. are you running "all native" resolution? 1440p on the center monitor and 1080p on both side monitor?
2. if not. what resolution are u running? how is the overall scaling.

eye finity gaming usage?
when you running 5760x1080.
1. how does the center 1440 scale down to 1080? how is the overall quality in comparison to the two side 1080? (27" 1080 is kinda grainy)

Member Karlitos runs 2x1440 with a 2160 in the middle. He really likes it. I'm sure he'll comment when he sees this thread.
