Hello all! Hoping someone has some experience with the AMD (Eyefinity) 7750 6. As you know, this video cards can drive up to six monitors and has 6 mini display ports. All six of my monitors are identical and have HDMI capabilities. I first tried all passive Mini Display Adapters and learned quickly this wouldn't work. So I got 6 Active adapters. After I installed the active adapters, everything worked great. I have different charts up, video, forums, etc. in each screen so no need to span for 1 big monitor. The only issue I have is when waking the monitors up (not sleep or hibernate), typically it takes a long period of time and only 4 of the monitors would return. I would have to go to settings and detect to find the other two once again. Sometimes, I have to reboot to bring them all back. I uninstalled drivers, tried beta additions, installed the newest catalyst driver that came out 12/09/14. Finally, I edited the registry to add a setting where I could adjust the time the monitors would darken after locking the computer. As you know, when you lock your computer, the screens dim after a minute. Very hard to fix this but was done. Running Win 8.1 64 bit BTW. This was working OK but took some extra time for lunch today and when I came back, I just missed the window when the screens dimmed and had to reboot. I was so fed up I swapped my home computer and my work computer and threw in three random video cards and now it's driving all six without any issues (windows 7). Now I have this computer at home driving three monitors with the 7750 but STILL want to get to the bottom of the issue. It's driving the three monitors without issue. I guess I can just use this as my personal computer as the one I did have here is doing just fine at work with three video cards driving 6 monitors. Just makes me angry that I put so much money into that stupid eyefinity card and stupid active adapters and now it's just at my house running three monitors. ARGH. I called AMD today before swapping my computers and they "opened a ticket". I started thinking after the fact, maybe I should have tried two passive adapters and 4 active adapters? No clue why this would matter as using 6 active should be the same as native minidisplay? Maybe I should just stomach the loss and move on with my life?

Not sure if it's related, but there is another thread about the AMD 7950 card having an issue with waking from sleep, perhaps it could be related to your 7750, if they share some kind of circuitry or controller?

Displayport to hdmi is very sketchy. Actually, displayport in general and hdmi are both very sketchy. I've seen strange things happen on almost every single hdmi setup I've ever used. Blank screen, scaling, power cycle issues, sound loss, you name it. Adding that many adapters is only going to compound the potential issues.
