Eyebrow style

I've seen people shaving two straight, diagonal lines through one part of their eyebrows. Usually near the back. Anyone know if this is something cultural/gang/belief related?
 
Just supposed to be cool. I did it once, but that was an accident when I was shaving my head and leaned forward too much and feel into the shaver. Cut a perfect slice near the end of my eyebrow.
