Eye Twitch

My right eye started twitching last night, and has twiched non-stop all through this morning. It briefly stopped when I went outside to go to work and to go to lunch. During the time it stopped I was blasted with 0 degree air (-25f windchill) this morning, and about 5 degrees on my lunchbreak.

Anything you can do to make it stop? Has this happened to anybody else?

Just takes time. Get more sleep, cut out any stimulants in your diet like Caffeine and Speed.

If it doesn't stop after a week or so, pretty much you are going to die.

But don't rule out some kind of infection - the nerves around your eye are controlled by the 'facial nerve' - an infection could spread and cause other problems. See a doc.

I once had the hiccups for 4-5 days straight - the doc said he had never seen anyone with the problem before, but when I had them 2-3 other people had them too, in the same week....turns out it was some kind of infection in my inner ear...

Tonic water. The quinine in it will make it stop.

Funny you asked, a friend of mine last night was talking about this. He went to the doc about it because it was happening so much.

Yes, you can included Gin in the tonic water if you want 🙂

When I drink an extreme amount of caffeine I sometimes have a hard time focusing. The solution, of course, is more caffeine.

I remember having an eye twitch once that occurred off and on for weeks. It was VERY aggrivating. That all changed when in a short period of time my friends threw me a great birthday party and I got a new job and a girlfriend. I realize now mine was heavily stress related.

Both of my eyes have twitched for about one year. It's either stress or lack of sleep...most likely both.

I get it too... it's like a very quick fluttering, right?

Yes, a quick fluttering, it may be my eyelid itself that is fluttering. My eye itself seems to stay focused on the same spot, and if I close my eyelid and feel it with my finger, I can feel the pulse coming from the bottom of where the eyeball would be.

I did go through a stressfull period this weekend, so perhaps it is stress. I got plenty of sleep, caffeine intake is at normal quantity (half a pot of coffee per day). I had two bananas yesterday in fact now that I think about it.

Punch yourself in the face.

Ow! Didn't work 🙁

Precisely, it is usually related to stress due to personal problems, lack of sleep, and not taking care of yourself.

It is stress. Bang some nasty slut and it will go away. Seriously, it just goes away after hammering away for a few hours.
