Eye for an Eye

I dont know what to say

<Acid attacks on women are relatively common in rural Pakistan, where harsh feudal and tribal laws are enforced. Women have been victims of such attacks merely for failing to bear a son or for cooking badly.
Human rights activists say more than 70 incidents of acid attacks have been reported in Punjab since January. >

Nice idea. Sucks that it looks to be overturned. I want to see more of that kind of punishment handed out!

kind of sad when we look to a foreign country for examples of justice.
if this would have happened in the states, he would have ended up suing her and her family because he dripped some on his hand while he was throwing it in her face.

<Puts on flame suit>Everyone over there who believes that throwing acid on your wife because she cooks badly should be taught acid swimming lessons...

this really happens. I used to live in India for a better part of my childhood and although stuff like this rarely happens in the big cities and urban areas, i have heard a couple stories/rumors where the husband and his mother burnt the wife alive cuz they didnt like her. its really a shame that people can be this cruel.

whats up with the human rights people trying to save him?
he did that to his wife? that was inhumane.....

edit: i suck at the spelling of the words and such

The HR people consider it not to be civilized.

Western values are good when convienent :Q

sometimes, you have to go WTF to the human rights activist.
actually any activist really. wtf do they do the things they do?

I think his punishment is more than merited. For what good reason should he NOT have to endure the very same thing he inflicted upon another human? Sitting around in jail isn't good enough. He chose to do this. Nobody forced him. Now he gets to suffer the consequences of his actions unlike the US where we would give him more rights than the victim.

It's a shame we don't do that here. I would love to see rapists faces as they are sodomized by equines and then neutered with rusty pruning shears.

Just wish they would not stop at the eyes in this case.
