How much would it cost to get an eye exam and some new lenses?
I cant really find any cost quotes online.

If you're young, don't pay for any extra like getting your eye diluted. It's a waste of money especially if you're young.

I was 19 when I had my detached retina. $40,000+ in medical prosedures later, all is well. Most people lose vision permanently after a detached retina...I am able to get almost 20/20 out of that eye. When it detached I lost all eyesight in my right eye...I am very lucky.
Pay the $50 and go to any optical center and get the exam.

plain eye exam cost around $25 dollars just to get your prescriptions. If you're young, don't pay for any extra like getting your eye diluted. It's a waste of money especially if you're young. I spent $100 at lenscrafter and later I found another place more affordable.

question: I know you are not suppose to sleep with them in....but what if you are just sitting outside in the nice sun and you doze off just for a little bit. Is that ok or is that still really bad for your eyes

You can sleep with them in, just don't make it a habit. A night's sleep with them in won't do any damage.

yup.. one night wont be bad.. but consecutive nights will be because of chances of getting an infection.. night and day contacts are a godsend for the lazy (i love em!).. heh
