Yup, if you head on over to ExtremeTech, you can read their review of Intel's D845PEB2 motherboard. Its actually a very interesting read (with comparative benches), especially considering that Intel's i845PE board is not likely going to be the hottest one out. ;)

And in a very surprising move, believe it or not Intel has for the first time (that I can remember) provided somwhat tweakable memory settings in the BIOS! :Q

I'm sure we will see lots of other i845PE reviews very soon on the heels of this one....

Ahhh finally I can start looking for parts for a new computer!
Hope Epox will release their boards soon with the LEDs in the northbridge hehe :D

I'm very new to all this, and I plan on building my first system soon. I really don't understand these benchmarks and such... how can this board come so close, and in a few cases beat RDRAM? Can someone please explain... I was under the impression DDR333 was still inherently a good bit behind in performance (but MUCH less expensive). If these tests are true, then there's no way I'm going to wait for Granite Bay, I'll buy an i845PE now.
