This is a WD740GD connected to SATA1 on an Abit IC7-G (Intel ICH5R SATA controller), giving my a blistering performance of less than 4MB/s, for no apparent reason. The controller is in enhanced mode (both SATA and PATA), and all necessary Windows drivers are installed. Any ideas besides the drive being screwed up?
