Extremely slow browsers

When I run firefox, chrome, or ie, all freeze up every minute or so. Alows down the whole system and it's really annoying. Ideas?

I think it's probably something else so are you having any other problems with your pc? Doing a virus check would be good too.

What antiivurs are you using?

I found that using thse internet securiyt suites make my internet crawl to a death so now I only use a good antivirus and the windows 7 firewall. more than enough

I use Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013. Very light and the most powerful in virus detections

I have AVG Free, but I turned off my internet protection. Happened with it it uninstalled to. I think it's a flash player issue. Should I just try and update?
